Founded in 1660, the Royal Society is the national academy of science in the UK and Commonwealth. Throughout our history, we have played a part in some of the most life-changing scientific discoveries, as well as some of the revolutionary advancements in the conduct and communication of science. Our journal archive spans 350 years and 11 journals, including Philosophical Transactions, the world's oldest, continuously-published scientific journal, Notes and Records, our history of science journal, and Biographical Memoirs, a twice-yearly compilation of individual memoirs celebrating the lives and scientific achievements of deceased Fellows of the Royal Society.
